ROLE OVERVIEW<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a great entry-level role for a graduate with an interest in media, PR and communications.\u00a0 Our Research Team is responsible for researching and verifying all the information on the software platforms we provide to customers and ensuring that customers can connect with the media contacts they need.\u00a0 We can offer the opportunity to utilise and develop your research, organisational and customer service skills while building a career within a software business.\u00a0 In the longer term, those undertaking this role may progress into management, customer support or data analysis roles.<\/p>\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Handling customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner.<\/li>\n
  • Researching and compiling information (by phone and email and online) related to relevant media industry updates (things like magazine launches, appointments and departures on editorial teams).<\/li>\n
  • Inputting that information accurately into the Media Contacts Database in line with agreed performance targets.<\/li>\n
  • Reviewing enquiries from journalists, freelance media professionals and bloggers looking to connect with people in the PR world via the Journalist Enquiry Service to ensure the enquiries are sent out to the correct subscribers to prompt the best possible results for the sender and to reject unsuitable enquiries.<\/li>\n
  • Researching and verifying the social media data on our databases, building long term relationships with influencers and proactively sourcing new and upcoming social media channels.<\/li>\n
  • Putting together the Top 10 Blog Rankings and working on the leading Vuelio Blog Awards.<\/li>\n
  • Confirming industry news stories and writing up short alerts for our daily media industry newsletter (Media Bulletin).<\/li>\n
  • Putting together the Media Bulletin and sending it out to journalist, blogger and PR audiences \u2013 this involves working with html and external mailing systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Exact duties vary depending on the Research team to which the job holder is allocated, but we aim to ensure that team members move between the various teams to expand their knowledge.<\/p>\n
