The announcement caused a sharp fall in the company\u2019s share price. Sorrell <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/business\/2017\/aug\/23\/wpp-advertisers-spending-sir-martin-sorrell-growth-forecasts\">said<\/a> the recent election results both sides of the pond, combined with volatile economic conditions in places like China, had affected the global ad market. He also told Sky News that the uncertainty around Brexit\u2019s free movement of people was \u2018the cancer, the problem we have to deal with\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><br \/>\n3. Sheerman\u2019s inclusion on the Register of Consultant Lobbyists has caused concern among those who believe it contravenes the MP\u2019s Code of Conduct which states: \u2018no Member shall act as a paid advocate in any proceeding of the House\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><br \/>\n4. He will be replaced by Sarah Smith, BBC\u2019s Scotland Editor, who is based in Glasgow. She will present her first episode when the programme returns after the summer recess on 17 September. Neil, who headed up the show since its launch in January 2012, will continue to present This Week and Daily Politics, as well as other projects on the BBC.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">5. Among these: Jon Snow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/media\/2017\/aug\/23\/jon-snow-grenfell-mactaggart-media-diversity\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a> that reporting on Grenfall made him feel he was on the wrong side of the social divide, Channel 4\u2019s creative chief Jay Hunt <a href=\"https:\/\/www.list.co.uk\/article\/94796-channel-4-boss-great-britsh-bake-off-only-needs-3-million-viewers\/\" target=\"_blank\">revealed<\/a> the Great British Bake Off will \u2018break even\u2019 with an audience of three million, and the BBC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sundaypost.com\/fp\/league-gentlemen-alan-partridge-set-make-return-bbc-two\/\" target=\"_blank\">announced<\/a> the return of the League of Gentlemen and Alan Partridge.
