Barnier has warned that upon leaving the Single Market, the UK\u2019s financial services sector will lose the right to trade freely.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Theresa May is preparing her third major Brexit speech<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong>Theresa May has started preparing for her third major Brexit speech that will outline the UK\u2019s future relationship with the EU. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/4a5e5c68-e406-11e7-97e2-916d4fbac0da\" target=\"_blank\"><em>The Financial Times<\/em><\/a>, Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, Environment Secretary Michael Gove, International Trade Secretary Liam Fox and Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson all back regulatory divergence from the EU as part of an ambitious trade deal.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Paradise Papers legal action condemned<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong>Key media partners in the Paradise Papers investigation have spoken out against legal action that would force the <em>BBC<\/em> and the <em>Guardian<\/em> to disclose documents used by reporters. The<em> Guardian <\/em>has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk-news\/2017\/dec\/19\/paradise-papers-legal-action-against-bbc-and-guardian-condemned\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> that the editor-in-chief of the <em>Sueddeutsche Zeitung<\/em> and the director of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists have reacted to Appleby\u2019s launch of breach-of-confidence proceedings against the<em> BBC<\/em> and the<em> Guardian<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Government steps up to call to address racial bias in the justice system<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong>Secretary of State for Justice David Lidington has today <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/justice-secretary-pledges-commitment-to-tackling-racial-inequality-in-the-criminal-justice-system\" target=\"_blank\">announced<\/a> measures to implement recommendations made in David Lammy MP\u2019s Government commissioned review of race disparity.
