We caught up with Karen to talk about the uniqueness of her blog (according to the views of her readers), the best PR and brand collaborations she\u2019s worked on and working with her kids to make the blog amazing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What makes your blog unique?<\/strong><\/span>
\nI actually asked this question of my readers a few months ago and I got some lovely replies, a couple of my favourites were: \u2018Makes people realise that it is possible to do cool and interesting things as a family\u2019, and, \u2018I love the fact that you cover everything from Rwanda to Disney and days out at home; something for everyone\u2019. They put it much better than I could do myself.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your biggest aim with the blog\/what would you ideally achieve with it?<\/strong><\/span>
\nIn fairness it has already done it as the blog has allowed me to work from home, take the children to school and collect them, and have all the school holidays off to travel.<\/p>\n

How do you plan your travels?<\/span>
\n<\/strong>We plan our travel around flight deals, meetings we have had with PRs, reading lots and lots of other travel blogs that inspire me and sometimes just a gut feel that we have to go somewhere!<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the best place you\u2019ve ever been to?<\/strong><\/span>
\nThis is a really really hard one. Probably for the experience Rwanda – the whole trip was incredible and we’re off to Malawi as a family at easter as it worked out so well. For relaxation, a villa in Sivota, Greece with Simpson Travel as it just worked on every level.<\/p>\n

How do your children feel about the blog?<\/strong><\/span>
\nThey absolutely love it and are really proud of it. They know that it brings them great opportunities.<\/p>\n

What one place haven\u2019t you been that you want to?<\/strong><\/span>
\nChile and Argentina \u2013 I’ve had two trips that I’d booked that had to be cancelled for different reasons so it is very high up the bucket list.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the best day out in the UK?<\/span>
\n<\/strong>Oh I think that’s a tough one to answer, so many but for so many different reasons. For us, it is usually a day at a beach with a really big picnic, some sun and lots of friends.<\/p>\n

What are the best PR\/brand collaborations you\u2019ve worked on?<\/strong><\/span>
\nAgain, another tough question to answer but some of the best were Malawi Tourism<\/a>, Visit Brittany<\/a>, Simpson Travel<\/a> ambassador, Santa’s Lapland<\/a>, St Mawes Retreats<\/a>, and so many more that I enjoy every day.

What other blogs do you read?<\/strong><\/span>
\nLots and lots but I recently met a couple on a trip to Morzine who are travelling the world and I was genuinely inspired by their amazing story. They were a really lovey couple too.<\/p>\n
