May said a \u2018decisive step\u2019 had been taken, but the paper claims that nine ministers expressed concerns during the meeting. The details of the agreement show that the UK will remain in a customs union with the EU indefinitely unless a solution is found for the Irish border, with no right to withdraw unilaterally and Northern Ireland continuing to follow additional single market rules.\u00a0According<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0The Daily Telegraph<\/em>, however, eleven ministers spoke against the plan, including Esther McVey, who was described by sources as \u2018emotional\u2019 and \u2018aggressive\u2019. \n<\/strong>The Independent<\/em>\u00a0reports<\/a>\u00a0that Sir Keir Starmer, Labour\u2019s Shadow Brexit Secretary, has said that his party will vote against the Brexit deal. He claimed that it was \u2018not good enough for manufacturing and services\u2019 and was \u2018a miserable failure of negotiation\u2019 which would make reaching new trade agreements difficult.<\/p>\n
\nThe Guardian<\/em>\u00a0says<\/a>\u00a0that Ireland\u2019s Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that Ireland gained everything that it wanted from the Brexit negotiations, describing news of the deal as \u2018one of the better days in politics\u2019 and adding that \u2018a satisfactory outcome\u2019 had been achieved on \u2018protecting the peace process and the Good Friday agreement\u2019.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The\u00a0Daily Mail<\/em>\u00a0says<\/a>\u00a0that the DUP has described the proposed agreement as a \u2018bad deal\u2019, with Brexit spokesman Sammy Wilson claiming that the party would vote against it. He criticised the plan for tying the UK to the customs union and EU regulations, and because the UK would not be able to leave it unilaterally.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The\u00a0Financial Times<\/em>\u00a0reports<\/a>\u00a0that European Council President Donald Tusk has confirmed that EU leaders will hold a special summit on November 25 to agree the proposed deal. The paper says that \u2018insiders\u2019 claim that it will be used to try and win over Eurosceptics who might be considering voting against May\u2019s deal.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>According<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0The Times<\/em>, Theresa May was \u2018forced into an embarrassing climbdown\u2019 yesterday after the Government announced that plans to reduce the maximum stake on fixed-odds betting terminals would be brought forward to April. The change followed a rebellion by over 20 Tory MPs and the resignation of Tracey Crouch from the Government.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The Sun<\/em>\u00a0reports<\/a>\u00a0that Housing, Communities and Local Government Secretary James Brokenshire has released plans to establish housing courts to speedily settle disputes between landlords and tenants. He said the plan would be especially important \u2018for families and vulnerable tenants\u2019.<\/p>\n
