It was a great evening for the FT at the British Journalism Awards, which scooped the top award, News Provider of the Year, alongside three other awards – the most for any newspaper. <\/b><\/p>\n
The outlet also achieved the Innovation award, while journalist Laura Hughes took the Political Journalist prize, and Matthew Garrahan won for Arts and Entertainment.<\/span><\/p>\n Other big winners on the night include Journalist of the Year, Amelia Gentleman of The Guardian, and Carole Cadwalladr who won both the Technology Journalism and Investigation of the Year awards.<\/span><\/p>\n The Times and Sunday Times also won big this year, achieving a total of five awards across the publications.<\/span><\/p>\n More than 400 entries were submitted over the 22 categories this year, and a total of 50 independent judges examined the entries. <\/span><\/p>\n The full list of winners from the night:<\/span><\/p>\n Technology Journalism:<\/strong> Carole Cadwalladr, The Observer The Financial Times won four awards at this year’s British Journalism Awards including the top award of News Provider of the Year.
