A number of ministers have now denied being behind the leak, including Jeremy Hunt, Gavin Williamson, Penny Mordaunt, Liam Fox and Sajid Javid.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unvaccinated children could be barred from schools<br \/>\n<\/strong>The\u00a0<em>Daily Mirror\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/news\/politics\/health-secretary-wont-rule-out-14579302?utm_campaign=Political%20Services%20Publications%202019&amp;utm_source=hs_email&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;_hsenc=p2ANqtz-8VdabmKQit2My_tictGgjdcgMTFzdsYNsupbGP8RxBY97KAXn6SUqpy9zjHs-xBM-hBS90\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-hs-link-id=\"0\">reports<\/a>\u00a0that Health and Social Care Secretary Matt Hancock has warned that children who have not received the MMR vaccination could be banned from schools. The warning came after Unicef revealed that over 0.5m children in the UK have not received the vaccine, with cases of measles increasing fourfold over the last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Labour plans \u00a33bn tax increase to fund social care<br \/>\n<\/strong>The\u00a0<em>Daily Mail\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-6961735\/Labour-plan-3bn-tax-rich-fund-dementia-care.html?utm_campaign=Political%20Services%20Publications%202019&amp;utm_source=hs_email&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;_hsenc=p2ANqtz-8VdabmKQit2My_tictGgjdcgMTFzdsYNsupbGP8RxBY97KAXn6SUqpy9zjHs-xBM-hBS90\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-hs-link-id=\"0\">says<\/a>\u00a0that Labour is to increase taxes on the top 5% of earners in order to fund an increase in social care spending of over \u00a33bn. It would fund care for over 160,000 elderly people who currently go without care, including 50,000 with dementia. Shadow social care minister Barbara Keeley said the \u2018Tory government has shamefully abandoned older people and young adults with care needs\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Talks to restore Northern Ireland Assembly to restart<br \/>\n<\/strong>The\u00a0<em>Financial Times\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/3b118c08-6795-11e9-a79d-04f350474d62?utm_campaign=Political%20Services%20Publications%202019&amp;utm_source=hs_email&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;_hsenc=p2ANqtz-8VdabmKQit2My_tictGgjdcgMTFzdsYNsupbGP8RxBY97KAXn6SUqpy9zjHs-xBM-hBS90\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-hs-link-id=\"0\">says<\/a>\u00a0that Northern Ireland Secretary Karen Bradley and the Irish foreign minister Simon Coveney are expected to announce today that new talks to try and restore the Northern Ireland Assembly will take place after May\u2019s local government elections. Sinn F\u00e9in leader Mary Lou Mcdonald said that her party\u2019s support depended on an Irish language act, while DUP leader Arlene Foster said the assembly should return \u2018immediately\u2019 with a parallel process to address Sinn F\u00e9in\u2019s issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Private schools provide benefit of over \u00a320bn to the country each year<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>The Times\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/article\/fee-paying-schools-save-billions-for-the-taxpayer-c8xzkf9ph?utm_campaign=Political%20Services%20Publications%202019&amp;utm_source=hs_email&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;_hsenc=p2ANqtz-8VdabmKQit2My_tictGgjdcgMTFzdsYNsupbGP8RxBY97KAXn6SUqpy9zjHs-xBM-hBS90\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-hs-link-id=\"0\">leads<\/a>\u00a0with research for the Independent Schools Council which finds that private schools provide economic benefits and savings to the taxpayer of over \u00a320bn a year, including supporting more jobs than the city of Liverpool.
