State for Asia and the Pacific on 21 June while an investigation takes place following an altercation between him and a protester on 20 June.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jacqueline Perkins<\/strong> was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/change-of-her-majestys-ambassador-to-belarus-august-2019\">appointed<\/a> as Her Majesty\u2019s Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Judith Gough<\/strong> was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/change-of-her-majestys-ambassador-to-sweden-august-2019\">appointed<\/a> Her Majesty\u2019s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tamara Finkelstein<\/strong> was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/people\/tamara-finkelstein\">appointed<\/a> as Permanent Secretary at Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, previously she held this role on an interim basis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amelia Fawcett<\/strong> was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/new-chair-appointed-to-the-royal-botanic-gardens-kew-board\">appointed<\/a> as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew Board.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jana Bennett<\/strong>, <strong>Delroy Beverley<\/strong>, <strong>Laela Pakpour-Tabrizi<\/strong>, <strong>Jeremy Silver<\/strong> and <strong>Wei Yang<\/strong> have all been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/five-trustees-appointed-to-the-british-library-board\">named<\/a> as Trustees for the British Library Board.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Simon Gass<\/strong> was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/joint-intelligence-committee-chair-appointed-sir-simon-gass\">appointed<\/a> as the Chair of the Joint Intelligence Committee, previously he held this role on an interim basis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thalia Baldwin<\/strong> is set to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/new-geospatial-commission-director-appointed\">become<\/a> the Director of the Geospatial Commission on 1 August 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alison Pritchard<\/strong> is set to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/head-of-government-digital-service-to-take-on-new-role\">become<\/a> interim Director-General of Government Digital Service, replacing <strong>Kevin Cunnington<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kevin Cunnington<\/strong> has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/new-head-of-gds-announced\">appointed<\/a> as the first Director-General of the International Government Service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geraldine McGahey<\/strong> is set to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/appointments-to-the-equality-commission-for-northern-ireland--2\">become<\/a> the new Deputy Chief Commissioner of the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Neil Anderson<\/strong>, <strong>June Best<\/strong>, <strong>Theresa Donaldson<\/strong>, <strong>Hazel Francey<\/strong>, <strong>Stephen Mathews<\/strong>, <strong>Joe McVey<\/strong>, <strong>Dawn Purvis<\/strong> and <strong>Katy Radford<\/strong> will all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/appointments-to-the-equality-commission-for-northern-ireland--2\">become<\/a> Commissioners of the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Walker<\/strong> has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/michael-walker-appointed-to-fsa-scientific-advisory-committee\">appointed<\/a> as the independent expert on the Committee on Toxicity, within the Food Standards Agency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>David William McCorkell<\/strong> has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/lord-lieutenant-for-county-antrim-24-june-2019?utm_source=2dd5ac0a-a30e-4306-b870-7615a2433c3d&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=govuk-notifications&amp;utm_content=immediate\">appointed<\/a> as Her Majesty\u2019s Lord-Lieutenant for County Antrim.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dame Angela McLean<\/strong> has been <a
