{"id":134330,"date":"2021-02-04T16:30:34","date_gmt":"2021-02-04T15:30:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vuelio.com\/uk\/?p=134330"},"modified":"2021-02-04T16:30:34","modified_gmt":"2021-02-04T15:30:34","slug":"prca-shares-numbers-on-unregulated-lobbying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vuelio.com\/uk\/blog\/prca-shares-numbers-on-unregulated-lobbying\/","title":{"rendered":"PRCA shares numbers on unregulated lobbying"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A PRCA analysis of entries published by the Office of the Registrar of Consultant Lobbyists (ORCL) found a rise of more than a quarter (28%) in lobbyists failing to declare Code of Conducts between 2019 and 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Established to improve lobbying transparency in 2014, the launch of the Government\u2019s Registrar of Consultant Lobbyists was widely welcomed by the industry, while its narrow remit and exclusion of in-house lobbyists continues to be criticised by the PRCA among other groups. The introduction of stricter regulations on self-policed codes last August are thought to be behind the spike in declarations of no code.<\/p>\n<p>PRCA head of public affairs Neha Khatwani said: \u2018Lobbying is a fundamental democratic right.
