It’s our second year in a row being recognised alongside Marie Curie, after last year’s Step Change Award.

Last year’s win marked a change in how Marie Curie measures PR, as the charity moved towards objective-led measures of audience relevance, messaging, prominence and purpose. This year’s entries show the continuation of that, with measurement becoming an increasingly integral part of how it plans, learns and improves.

Working with the PR team, we used historic comparable data to go beyond annual KPI-setting and understand what was really driving media impact. Together, we shaped recommendations that went directly into Marie Curie’s FY26/27 media strategy.

Our other award on the night came from working with a national charity. We were tasked with strengthening an established campaign and helping them better reach a difficult audience. In the event, we began by rethinking the brief itself.

The evidence showed that the charity’s media reach was already strong, so the bigger opportunity was in how, when and what it communicated. The charity acted on the recommendations straight away and commissioned a new measurement baseline to track progress against its long-term strategy.

Amy Chappell, Head of Insights at Vuelio, said: “We’re proud to be recognised alongside our clients again this year. We work in close collaboration with our clients to ensure that across all of this work, the common thread is meaningful measurement that doesn’t stop at reporting figures, but instead helps communications teams to make credible next steps.”

Tracy Barrett, Head of PR at Marie Curie, said: “Being recognised at the global AMEC Awards for a second time reflects real partnership and the hard work of everyone in the PR team. Looking beyond annual targets at what truly drives media impact has helped us build a strategy that grows understanding of our work, so more people get the care and support they need at the end of life.”

Find out more about Vuelio Insights and see the full list of AMEC Awards 2026 finalists.

The Vuelio Insights team has been recognised at the AMEC Awards 2026, winning Silver with a major UK charity for most impactful client recommendations arising from a measurement study, and Bronze for most effective planning, …

[1449
