The striker has also been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal, driving his social media mentions above the other big stories of the week. Of the many hashtags that have arisen about Rooney, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%23ThingsThatAngerAndConfuseWayneRooney&#038;src=typd\" title=\"Things that anger and confuse wayne rooney\" target=\"_blank\">#ThingsThatAngerAndConfuseWayneRooney<\/a><span> was an organic trend that attracted <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.buzzfeed.com\/robinedds\/21-things-that-anger-and-confuse-wayne-rooney\" title=\"Buzzfeed\" target=\"_blank\">further media attention<\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The story made it onto <a href=\"http:\/\/justarsenal.com\/arsenal-and-chelsea-to-swap-transfer-targets\/25108\" title=\"Just Arsenal\" target=\"_blank\">Just Arsenal<\/a>, in a post discussing the transfer targets of Chelsea and Arsenal. Finishing with the line: \u2018I for one would be happy to see him in an Arsenal shirt and would love for us to get our own back for van Persie\u2019, the post has generated a lot of discussion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.caughtoffside.com\/2013\/07\/19\/blues-keeper-petr-cech-talks-up-possibility-of-wayne-rooney-to-chelsea-move\/\" title=\"CaughtOffside\" target=\"_blank\">CaughtOffside<\/a> reports the Daily Telegraph story that Petr Cech, Chelsea keeper, would love to see Wayne Rooney at the club.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/paulstallard.me\/2013\/07\/17\/pr-recruitment-are-you-a-rooney-or-a-woodgate\/\" title=\"Paul Stallard's PR Blog\" target=\"_blank\">Paul Stallard\u2019s PR Blog<\/a> uses the Rooney interest to talk recruitment. Comparing senior staff appointments to star striker transfers, Paul lists five top tips for making an impact at a PR agency.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>The Apprentice<\/strong><\/span><br \/>The second biggest story comes from Lord Sugar\u2019s latest \u2018Apprentice\u2019 hire. As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vuelio.com\/uk\/blog\/twitter-lessons-from-marketing-week-live\/\" title=\"Twitter lessons\" target=\"_blank\">40% of peak time Twitter traffic is also watching TV<\/a>, The Apprentice\u2019s inclusion should come as no surprise. If you haven\u2019t watched it yet, and want to, look away now. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.unrealitytv.co.uk\/the-apprentice\/the-apprentice-2013-embarrassing-bodies-medic-dr-christian-jessen-blasts-lord-sugar-on-twitter-over-very-junior-doc-leah-totton\/\" title=\"Unreality TV\" target=\"_blank\">Unreality TV<\/a> has published Dr Christian Jessen&#8217;s [of Embarrassing Bodies fame] tweets suggesting the winning business from Dr Leah Totton needs more senior guidance. His social media comments include: \u2018The apprentice winner in question may well be entirely competent but I do worry about the image projected on the show of these procedures\u2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dulwichdivorcee.com\/brave-new-world\/\" title=\"DD's Diary\" target=\"_blank\">DD\u2019s Diary<\/a> expresses some disappointment at the winning business idea. The post argues: \u2018No longer something that only celebrities resort to as a guilty secret, popping into a Dr Leah for a top-up of fillers will be as easy as getting a latte from Starbucks\u2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">A rather different take comes from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehighteacast.co.uk\/2013\/07\/19\/the-apprentice-final-reimagined-as-something-more-interesting\/?utm_source=rss&#038;utm_medium=rss&#038;utm_campaign=the-apprentice-final-reimagined-as-something-more-interesting\" title=\"The High Tea Cast\" target=\"_blank\">The High Tea Cast<\/a>. With \u2018alternative outcomes\u2019 for those that were disappointed in The Apprentice Final, the blog has Leah and Luisa in \u2018The Sugar Games\u2019, \u2018The Apprentice and the Tidey Sideys\u2019, and \u2018Lord of the Sugar\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>Heatwave<\/strong><\/span><br \/>The surprisingly seasonal weather was the next biggest topic of the week, with the heatwave taking people surprise and causing more than a few gripes. It proved to be a burning issue on the web [sorry, couldn\u2019t resist], with a mixture of reports and tips.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ukseries.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/scorchio-britains-heatwave-now-at-level-3\/\" title=\"UK Travel Blog\" target=\"_blank\">The UK Travel Blog<\/a> published the news that Britain\u2019s heatwave is now at level three (according to the Met Office warnings). The post also reveals that this is the most prolonged heatwave since 2006; there isn\u2019t an official law stopping employees from working in high temperatures; and the only other level available from the Met Office is level 4 \u2013\u00a0a national emergency.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/lifeandstyle\/2013\/jul\/15\/what-eat-drink-heatwave\" title=\"Guardian's Food and Drink\" target=\"_blank\">Guardian\u2019s Food &amp; Drink<\/a> section provides tips on what to eat during a heatwave, with dishes that require little cooking time and advice on \u2018cooling foods\u2019. This is far more upbeat than the Guardian\u2019s other take on the heatwave, \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/politics\/reality-check\/2013\/jul\/18\/sun-heatwave-deaths-hot-weather\" title=\"Will the heatwave kill us\" target=\"_blank\">Will the heatwave kill us all?<\/a>\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/frankchalk.blogspot.co.uk\/2013\/07\/heatwave.html\" title=\"Frank Chalk\" target=\"_blank\">Frank Chalk<\/a> sums up his feelings toward the extreme heat in a short post that starts: \u2018I can&#8217;t help but think that we&#8217;re getting a bit carried away with this \u201cheatwave\u201d stuff\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>JK Rowling<\/strong><\/span><br \/>And finally, for those pseudonym fans out there, JK Rowling has released a novel under the penname \u2018Robert Galbraith\u2019. \u00a0The story, which many thought was a publicity stunt, has since been revealed to be a leak from a law firm; the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/entertainment-arts-23366660\" title=\"BBC JK Rowling\" target=\"_blank\">BBC reports<\/a>\u00a0that Rowling is very angry at the news.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/jackofkent.com\/2013\/07\/does-j-k-rowling-have-a-legal-remedy-for-breach-of-confidentiality\/?utm_source=rss&#038;utm_medium=rss&#038;utm_campaign=does-j-k-rowling-have-a-legal-remedy-for-breach-of-confidentiality\" title=\"Jack of Kent\" target=\"_blank\">Jack of Kent<\/a> has chosen to focus on the law firm leak and posed the question: \u2018Can J.K. Rowling sue for breach of confidentiality?\u2019 It discusses the case in legal terms and the likelihood of a successful lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/girllostinthecity.com\/2013\/07\/14\/why-did-j-k-rowling-do-a-bronte\/\" title=\"Girl Lost in the City\" target=\"_blank\">Girl Lost in the City<\/a> questions why JK Rowling felt the need to hide behind a male name. Exploring what it means to write as a woman and to write \u2018genderless\u2019 the post compares the move to the Bronte sisters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.abebooks.com\/blog\/index.php\/2013\/07\/15\/breaking-news-jk-rowling-actually-a-man-named-robert-galbraith\/\" title=\"AbeBooks' Reading Copy\" target=\"_blank\">AbeBooks\u2019 Reading Copy<\/a><br \/>\n can possibly claim the best headline with: \u2018Breaking News: JK Rowling Actually a Man Named Robert Galbraith\u2019.
