With its continuous news presence, HS2 is unsurprisingly a hot topic on Twitter.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vuelio.com\/uk\/products-and-services\/social-media-monitoring\/\">Cision Social Media<\/a> and our in-house data scientist Terry Adeagbo, we\u2019ve analysed the sentiment of HS2-related tweets from around the country over the last month. We\u2019ve used an automated sentiment tool so all of the usual disclaimers apply. <\/p>\n<p>Click to enlarge.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vuelio.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/HS2-MAP-Sentiment.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vuelio.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/HS2-MAP-Sentiment-769x600.png\" alt=\"HS2 on Twitter by location\" width=\"640\" height=\"499\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-44086\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The tweets generally cluster around the HS2 route with more on the Phase 1 route (London to Birmingham). There are over three times as many negative sentiment tweets as there are positive, with London, Warwickshire and Staffordshire expressing the most negativity about the project.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">The data was gathered through<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vuelio.com\/uk\/products-and-services\/social-media-monitoring\/\">Cision Social Media<\/a> <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">and<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/terrenceads\">Terry Adeagbo<\/a><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">.
