As the London 2012 Olympics are also being held in East London, Radio 1 made this year special. It ran live performances on six different stages with a line up of worldwide artists and DJs.<\/p>\n<p>The following is a social media analysis of the top 5 most mentioned artists who performed at the Hackney Weekend 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Hackney Weekend had 228,618 online mentions in the last two weeks, a majority of which were on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>As is shown in the conversation cloud below, the top 5 most mentioned artists in relation to the Hackney Weekend are Rihanna, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj and Westwood. Jay-Z came out on top in this social media battle with a staggering 26,740 mentions and Rihanna came a close second with 25,981 mentions.
