Penny said: \u201cBusy women often don\u2019t have the time to read reams and reams of copy or lengthy articles during the week, so The Style Lane is the perfect format for a speedy indulgence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After completing a degree in Fashion Journalism Penny undertook placements at various magazines including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fhm.com\/\">FHM<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newwoman.co.uk\/\">New Woman<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tatler.com\/\">Tatler<\/a>. These underpinned Penny\u2019s knowledge of the industry and furthered her love of styling, writing and editing.<\/p>\n<p>Penny sees <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/TheStyleLane\">social media<\/a> as imperative to promoting The Style Lane, gaining visitors and building a loyal following. She uses it daily to link to the latest content, communicate with PRs and gain new contacts.<\/p>\n<p>Penny said: \u201cI would obviously like to see the site grow and flourish, with women frequently bookmarking The Style Lane as their go to, style bible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Working with PRs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cContent from PRs is preferably received as a concise, attached press release rather than within the email body. It\u2019s always helpful to attach images to the initial email, too. I love to hear about the latest launches, openings, collaborations and news.
