{"id":74206,"date":"2015-02-25T12:13:08","date_gmt":"2015-02-25T11:13:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vuelio.com\/uk\/?p=74206"},"modified":"2015-02-25T12:13:08","modified_gmt":"2015-02-25T12:13:08","slug":"the-five-types-of-social-media-journalists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vuelio.com\/uk\/blog\/the-five-types-of-social-media-journalists\/","title":{"rendered":"The five types of social media journalists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">The fourth annual <\/span><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vuelio.com\/uk\/social-journalism-study-2015\/?utm_source=blog-post-social-journalism-study-2015&amp;utm_medium=post-25Feb2015&amp;utm_campaign=blog-post-social-journalism-study-2015\" target=\"_blank\">Social Journalism Study<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">, conducted by Cision and\u00a0Canterbury Christ Church University, is the latest\u00a0<\/span>installment<span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">\u00a0in our\u00a0efforts to understand and chart the changes in how\u00a0journalists and\u00a0media professionals use social media for their work and in their\u00a0communication with PR professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>To help understand the habits and patterns of social media use among journalists, the study has previously identified five different types of journalists based on their use of and attitudes toward social technology: Sceptics, Observers,\u00a0Hunters, Promoters and Architects.\u00a0Over the last three years, the sizes of each social\u00a0media user type have changed significantly. In 2014 the two largest groups were the Promoters\u00a0and the Sceptics, while in 2012 it was the Hunters and the Promoters.
