Why did you decide to start blogging?<\/b><\/p>\n

I seem to be the ‘go to’ person that all my friends (Facebook and real ones) come to for advice on makeup, skincare and all things related. I am forever getting messages asking for advice on what makeup\u00a0brushes\u00a0to buy on a budget, whether ‘those Cocowhite sachets’ actually work, and everything\u00a0in between. They seem to trust my opinion and advice, so I\u00a0thought perhaps others would as well.\u00a0I have always turned to blogs to read reviews \u00a0prior to buying certain products and decided to give it a go myself. ‘My So Kohl’d Life’ was born in May this year.<\/p>\n

Why beauty and cosmetics?<\/b><\/p>\n

I’m a trained makeup artist- I\u00a0graduated\u00a0from\u00a0London College of Fashion in 2007 with a degree in Specialist makeup design and have continued to work as a makeup artist alongside my ‘real’ job ever since. I would also say I am obsessed with all things beauty related- I am a sucker for\u00a0anything\u00a0that will\u00a0make me look prettier, younger and generally improve my looks.\u00a0I like to think that I am able to use my knowledge and experience from working as makeup artist and apply this to my blog posts. Hopefully this offers a point of difference to other bloggers who perhaps are self\u00a0taught\u00a0(although many of my my favourite bloggers are self taught so this is in no way a\u00a0criticism.)<\/p>\n

Who or what would you say inspires you?<\/b><\/p>\n

I am always inspired by other bloggers, as well as girls in the street- I’m forever stopping them to ask what shade their lipstick is or where their shoes came from.<\/p>\n

What is your pitch to PRs? How would you prefer to be contacted by them?<\/b><\/p>\n

I am a makeup artist and total beauty fanatic. My blog offers makeup and\u00a0beauty\u00a0reviews, tips and the odd lifestyle post thrown in for good\u00a0measure. I am contactable by email, phone or by social media.<\/p>\n

Where would you like to see your blog in one year from now?<\/b><\/p>\n

I have only been blogging for 2 months, but have already\u00a0received\u00a0some lovely comments and feedback about my blog. One year from now<\/span><\/span> I would love for\u00a0people to still be reading and enjoying my blog, and also getting something from it, whether it be learning how to apply their eyeliner evenly, or going out to buy a product that I have reviewed. \u00a0My blog is my little hobby and I love it, and if other people still do a year from now then i’ll be very happy.<\/div>\n
