Despite winning Best\u00a0Business\u00a0&amp; Finance Blog, Ann Pettifor was\u00a0unable to attend on the night but we recently caught up with her to personally hand over her award and talk about what winning means to her. \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was both surprised and thrilled to win the Vuelio Blog Award. Economics is known as the &#8220;dismal science&#8221; so it\u2019s a particular honour to win an award for blogging about the subject.\u00a0The winning of the award has galvanised me into planning an update and refresh. I know it has many fans, but it\u2019s some time since it was modernised to catch up with all the rapid changes in web technology. However the content will continue to honour my mission, which is to make economic debates accessible to non-economists and to ensure that ethics and morality remain at the heart of economic policy.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As many of you already know last November we hosted our first ever Blog Awards.
