It is wonderful to be recognised for the work I put into my blog. The same day that I found out I had become a finalist in the Vuelio Blog Awards was also the day that a journalist in the Daily Fail called me a “nauseatingly smug yummy Mummy”. I love that my blog is still relevant and engages so many people.

“I had no idea I’d win. It was great to be shortlisted with such amazing bloggers, such as Sarah Turner with her best-selling book and Emily Leary whose recipes regularly grace the pages of national papers and magazines. I was pretty floored when I found out and it has been a huge confidence boost.

“I feel that winning best Mum blog is a great way to bring my blog to new eyes. I do not write my blog for recognition, but it is amazing to receive an award for it and is a great source of credibility. I am blogging in an increasingly crowded sector and winning helps me stand out from the crowd. It may even be the deciding factor in someone wanting to work with me.

“Being an industry award really gives the Vuelio blog awards gravitas and the fact that there is a panel of judges makes me feel that I won on merit.
