What’s happening?

Access Intelligence Plc is acquiring ResponseSource Ltd. Access Intelligence is an AIM listed plc trading under the Vuelio brand name.


When is it happening?

The deal was finalised on 10 October 2018.


Why is it happening?

Vuelio has raised money to support growth through both innovation and acquisition. ResponseSource also provides communications management software and its fundamental strengths complement those of Vuelio. The combination of these market-leading portfolios provides immediate benefits for both companies, their clients and other stakeholders.


Who is ResponseSource?

ResponseSource was founded in 1997 as Daryl Willcox Publishing by Daryl Willcox. The company was rebranded as ResponseSource in 2015. ResponseSource provides tools to connect PR professionals and businesses to journalists with services revolving around a Media Contacts Database and Journalist Enquiry Service. Additional services include Press Release Wire and Newsrooms, ResponseSource France, ResponseSource Germany, ResponseSource Media Bulletin, ResponseSource Job Site, Freelance Journalist Profiles and JournoRequests.


What about the future?

Vuelio and ResponseSource share an ambition to disrupt the media intelligence market by providing services that better connect comms and the media. Joining forces presents a fantastic opportunity to achieve that goal, while also providing benefits through offering a broader range of integrated services to communications and media professionals.

Vuelio plans to continue investing in the ResponseSource brand, its services, and its people.


How will this impact clients?

There will be no immediate changes, but clients of both companies will soon have access to new products and services on both sides. ResponseSource users will be offered a wider range of PR and stakeholder engagement tools such as media monitoring, analysis, stakeholder management and influencer data. Vuelio users will benefit from the Journalist Enquiry Service and enhanced media data. As we work together not only to integrate our current services, but also to innovate, improve and develop new services that work for everyone – communications professionals, journalists and other influencers – we’ll be inviting all our stakeholders to get involved to inform and define our future roadmap.
