After becoming disheartened at the lack of alternative offerings in the wedding industry, Kat Williams created Rock n Roll Bride back in 2007. Now with its own magazine and book, Rock n Roll Bride has taken its love for brides doing it differently from online to on the shelves. Packed with plenty of real-life wedding stories of happy couples from all walks of life, Rock n Roll Bride is one of the most diverse wedding blogs available. 5. Whimsical Wonderland Weddings
Louise Baltruschat Hollis started Whimsical Wonderland Weddings back in April 2010 when she was in the throes of planning her very own wedding. Brides Up North was created by Julia Braime, fashion journalist turned lawyer (the real-life Elle Woods!) after she was frustrated by the lack of northern presence in glossy bridal magazines. Committed to keeping it local, Brides Up North focuses on suppliers based in the north and even runs their own wedding shows across Yorkshire, the north west and the north east. Showcasing the north at its finest, Brides Up North caters to all tastes, from edgy fashions in Sheffield to a romantic countryside wedding on site of a former windmill!
Sara Russell is the woman behind Wedding Sparrow, the fine art wedding blog she created back in 2011. Inspiring her readers with exquisite feature film photography, Sara has found her niche in the world of wedding blogs, providing beautiful and sometimes unusual ideas for anyone in the midst of planning their big day. Wedding Sparrow is full of elegant images and a list of those all-important suppliers for the bride who wants to have their special day stand out from the crowd in all the right ways.
A brand-new entry into our wedding ranking is The English Wedding Blog. Created by Claire Gould back in 2011 she wanted to create a space which focused on English and UK weddings and suppliers. Sharing real-life wedding stories with her readers, Claire brings her own personal touch to each post, giving shout-outs to the amazing suppliers who help bring that special day together. Whether you’re still on the hunt for the dress or you’re after the finishing touches such as flowers or jewellery, The English Wedding Blog has plenty of suggestions to make your wedding day extra special.
The fundamentals of working with bloggers are the same as with traditional journalists at traditional media outlets: respect their schedules; take time to read their material to learn their interests; and only contact them if/when they want to be contacted.
Vuelio’s blog ranking methodology takes into consideration social sharing, topic-related content and post frequency. Profiles of these Wedding blogs and their authors can be found in the Vuelio Media Database.
