In the newly-created role Julia will work to raise DigitasLBi’s profile in the UK while continuing to drive PR and communications strategy for the agency. She will also take on formal responsibility for UK marketing activity including awards, events and speaking engagements.
Julia will continue to report into Gareth Jones, who was recently promoted to the dual role of global chief brand and content officer and international chief marketing officer at DigitasLBi.
Julia began her career at Condé Nast Publications and has since held roles at Saatchi & Saatchi and Kitcatt Nohr Digitas, where she helped the agency achieve three Agency of the Year titles.
Julia was quoted in the official press release saying: ‘Over the last 18 months the agency has seen some exciting changes, and I’m very proud to have played a part in strengthening our brand presence in the UK during this dynamic period. I’m looking forward to continuing to raise our profile as we move into the next phase of our evolution as DigitasLBi.’
Anil Pillai, chief executive, UK, DigitasLBi added: ‘The recent promotions of Gareth and Julia signal our intent to tell the world why we’re excited about the creation of DigitasLBi. We have built an unbelievably powerful engine to drive our clients’ digital transformation strategies and our ability to tell simple and compelling stories underpins our desire to help businesses decide What’s Next … and then take them there.’
